As of March 2021, Social, unfortunately, will be unable to ship our CBD vape products directly to our customers. We know there are likely a lot of questions around this big change, and we are here to help.
What happened? In the short version, new regulations were passed that make the sale and shipment of all vaping products in the United States very complicated.
In the long version, in late December 2020, Congress passed a coronavirus relief bill, and—buried deep in the 5,000-page document—a law entitled the Preventing Online Sales of E-Cigarettes to Children (PACT) Act expanded the definition of “cigarettes” to include all vape products, including those which do not contain any nicotine or tobacco at all. The new law restricts the USPS from delivering vape products directly to consumers and made shipping to brick and mortar businesses significantly more complicated. The law also imposed a number of very complicated, and expensive, requirements on private carriers like FedEx and UPS which ultimately led both companies to announce that they would cease shipping vape products at all.
What does this mean? As of March 27, 2021, Social, unfortunately, will be unable to ship our CBD vape products directly to our customers.
What are we doing about this? We are working hard to establish viable distribution solutions which will enable us to continue supplying our CBD vape products into brick and mortar stores and are carefully examining all paths forward for direct-to-consumer sales as the regulations evolve.
In this ever-changing landscape, we are dedicated to ensuring that we are able to deliver our pure and powerful CBD to our community while keeping within government regulations. Stay tuned, we are hopeful that our CBD Vape Pens may be able to make an appearance in the future.
